舌癌其他治療化

本人父親年高89了, 最近做了pet ct scan and mri 確診舌癌。政府醫院要做手術切除舌及喉嚨聲帶，要開孔在頸外給氣管呼吸。想請問除手術外可有其他方法可控制病情, 不悪化下去, 因它位置較面層未深及血管及神經。病人未有大感覺。希望可控制保持現狀, 畢竟年事已高, 希望有適合的療法。謝謝醫生
