Hello, I was told I need Conbriza or called Vivian for my Osteoporosis. Unfortunately this drug is not sold in United States. Is this prescribed drug available in Hong Kong? Thanks in advance for your information.

Conbriza belongs to a group of hormonal drugs called Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs), it is inidicated in a special group of patient with osteoporosis, but it may not be the first line drugs. It is not available in Hong Kong.
There are other drugs belongs to the bisphosphonate group with different duration of administration, they would be indicated as one of the first line treatment for osteoporosis. Also there is another drug called denosumab which can be conveniently Injection half-yearly. If you have any question about the indication and side effect, you better consult your local orthopaedic surgeon and ask for opinion.
