走路无力

你好！
我妈妈上星期五走路突然无力跌倒，进医院检查，医生说是尾龙骨对上第一和第二节骨有软组织压着神经线影响。说要做手术，但又说不能完全根治，可能走路也会有影响的。
请问我们应该如何处理，是找骨科医生还是骨神经医生呢？中医的推拿又是否有效？
始终妈咪年纪已大（69岁了），动手术是否最好的解决办法呢？
