丙肝問題
您好！本人在最近身體檢查時驗出是“丙肝”病毒帶菌者，Hepatitis C Virus(HCV)RNA. Viral loading為 3720000 IU每ml.
超聲波檢查顯示肝臟正常.
請問這個viral loading是否很高
若果到公立醫院求診,通常會使用甚麼的治療方法? 價錢和效用如何? 若果到私立醫院求診,有甚麼差別?

Hi Peggy,
The high viral load indicates the active viral replication in the liver and thus active inflammation and prone to chronic inflammation, cirrhosis (fibrosis of liver tissue) and liver cancer.
I would recommend anti-viral treatment regimen including injection of interferon and oral ribavirin, under the supervision and monitor of hepatologist specialist. Treatment is provided in both Hospital Authority and private specialist. A full course of regimen including necessary blood test monitor would cost more than hundred thousand dollars.
