I underwent a screening body check with a low dose CT scan of my chest (I was a smoker) last July 2021. The radiology report shows that I have minimal pulmonary emphysema (肺氣腫). I consutled a specialist in Causeway Bay since I didn‘t have any symptom while my previous CT report did not make any such findings a few years ago. I doubted if there is any possibility of mistake in the report. The doctor seeing me simply dismissed my doubt saying that the report must be reliable. He said so without going through the images compiled in the report. I did a new CT scan recently (4 May 2022) while the report this time did not show any finding of pulmonary emphysema. I made an appointment with Dr. Leung this time to consult him and clarify my doubt. Dr.Leung uploaded the last report to check the images himself and concluded that lung is normal and he illustrated to me what a pulmonary emphysema CT image looks like and compared it with my image to make the point. It turns out that the last report was indeed erroneous while the last specialist simply took it for granted. Dr. Leung is thorough and reliable.
